Tim Walker’s Love and Legends collection including collaborations with Charles Jeffrey, Pandora and Joe Sweeney
Pandora x Tim Walker for the NPG
The National Portrait Gallery will present Tim Walker’s Fairyland: Love and Legends from 9 October 2026 to 7 February 2027, accompanied by an irreverent, highly collectable merchandise range developed in collaboration with celebrated British photographer Tim Walker, artist Joe Sweeney, Pandora and designer Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY.
The exhibition brings together around 250 specially created portraits, made over five years, celebrating Queer culture, activism, community and love. Walker’s sitters include Ian McKellen, Isaac Julien, Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga, Björk, Ncuti Gatwa, Hunter Schafer, Kae Tempest and Paul O’Grady, alongside activists, performers, artists and other figures from Queer history.
The accompanying retail collection translates Walker’s fantastical visual language into a broad selection of objects, from everyday pieces to limited-edition collectables.
Highlights include a range of ‘How Queer’ and ’I see fairies’ button badges (£2) and a ‘Fairyland’ carabiner (£10), alongside a series of A1 and A2 exhibition prints (£45 and £25) featuring Walker’s portraits including Harry Keita as Delphinium Fairy (2022) and Paul O’Grady and Julian Clary as the Glitter Queens (2022).
There is also a standout knit collection designed by Charles Jeffrey, influential Scottish fashion designer and founder of fashion house Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY. The range includes a Charles Jeffrey x Tim Walker beanie hat in red (£40), a multicoloured tea cosy (£50), a blue and white scarf (£35) and socks in red and ecru (£20).
Tim Walker X Joe Sweeney for @NPG Dancer T shirt £40 exclusive
In addition, we present an exclusive collaboration with British contemporary conceptual artist Joe Sweeney, which includes a collection of T-shirts (£40) printed with words ‘Ecce Homo, ‘Happy Ending’ and ‘Dancer’. A wooden tray (£35) features Barbara Cartland’s book cover and says ‘Men are Wonderful’ and organic cotton hankies (£20) feature reworked original drawings from Walker’s sketchbooks. The collaboration also includes a 350ml bone china mug (£22) and a limited-edition handmade plate (£140), with an edition of just 200 pieces, made in the UK.
A limited-edition Ulster linen tea towel (£40), made in Ireland and hand-signed by Tim Walker, with ‘Fairyland’ woven into its blue stripe, will also be on sale alongside a specially created Fairy Collage A2 print (£25), which offers another interpretation of Walker’s distinctive world.
Pandora will unveil a new jewellery collection created in collaboration with Tim Walker.
The collection features 12 styles designed by Walker, each with a personal story behind it and inspired by memories, people and moments throughout his life. Among the designs is a penny charm, inspired by the phrase “penny for your thoughts”, which Walker’s father would say whenever he found him daydreaming. A button pays homage to his Irish grandmother, while a tooth charm nods to Walker’s childhood magic of the tooth fairy. The wishbone recalls Sunday roasts at home, his mother would save the wishbone for Tim and his brother - campaign imagery shot by Walker himself.
