Textile artist Kate Jenkins to launch 'From Sea to Plate' at the Knitted Fish Counter in Soho

Textile artist Kate Jenkins will bring her one-of-a-kind, sequined, embroidered, and knitted fish counter and Oyster Cart to Soho, London for a solo show that will see the celebrated artist - who celebrates 20 years of her studio this year - manning the counter. 

Customers will be able to choose their own plate from the selection – sequinned anchovies, knitted prawns, embroidered oysters and mussels and more - and have it mounted on a choice of predesigned plates or platters. Each one is signed by the Brighton based artist in limited edition and priced from £100.  The interactive, joyful and celebratory installation will show at Air Contemporary Gallery, Ham Yard, Soho from 20 September to 5 October.

The Imperial War Museum has launched a capsule collection of limited edition products that have been handcrafted from the original stretcher wood from Stanley Spencer's iconic 'Shipbuilding on the Clyde' series of paintings on display at its new Blavatnik art, film and photography gallery.

Handmade in the workshops of IWM London, each item in the range is signed by Stanley Spencer (a copy of which was provided by his grandson) and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
